Jungles Cleared

Jungles Cleared across East Ayrshire

Nobody is judging your garden. John has seen worse than yours this month.

Gardens get away from people. Illness, a bereavement, long hours, a house that has stood empty, or just three wet summers in a row — and what was a lawn is now above waist height and you cannot see where the fence is.

This is the job John enjoys most, because you can see the difference from the street when it is done. Everything comes down, everything gets lifted, and you get your ground back — usually inside a day or two.

Typical jungle jobs

  • A garden that has not been touched in a year or more
  • A house that has been empty, or an estate being cleared
  • A rental handed back in a state before it can be re-let
  • Brambles, nettles and self-seeded saplings taken right out
  • A garden you have lost the paths, the fence line or the drying green in
  • A relative’s garden that has quietly got beyond them

How it goes

How the job goes

No surprises and nothing starts before you know the price.

  1. LookJohn comes and sees it. No comment, no charge, no embarrassment.
  2. PriceA price and a number of days, before anything starts.
  3. ClearEverything down and out — growth, brambles, roots, rubbish.
  4. AwayLoad after load taken away, and you can see the ground again.

What it costs

Priced by the day after a look. Volume and access are what decide it — a jungle at the front where the van can back up is a different price from the same jungle behind a house with a narrow close.

Removal is in the price. If there is a serious volume of hard waste in there, John’s other business, Johns Waste Management, does the uplift side properly and he will join the two up for you.

Questions

Common questions

My garden is really bad. Is it too far gone?

No. That sentence gets said to him most weeks and the answer has never yet been yes. He has cleared gardens you could not walk into.

How long does it take?

Most overgrown gardens are one to two days. Really heavy ones with a lot of waste can be three. You get told which before he starts.

Do you take everything away?

Yes. That is most of the work and it is included in the price you agreed.

Can you do it for a house we are selling or clearing?

Yes, and a lot of this work is exactly that — executries, empty houses, and properties being got ready to go on the market.

What about the brambles coming back?

They will try. Once it is cleared, a tidy up or a regular cut a couple of times a year keeps it from ever getting back to that, and it costs a fraction of the clearance.
